I start my artwork by painting a first layer of signs or characters on paper.
I repeat the process by applying more layers over the dried painting, preferably in a corresponding color until the colors blend well together and/or I am satisfied with the result.
I create multiple versions of the same painting which I scan. Then I decide which square formatted parts I like. I print them individually or merged as a new piece of art. The chances are very high that I continue this iterating process. Repetition becomes a virtue of decision making, one of which is where to stop, another can be where to continue. Time is a variable that plays a protagonist’s role. Today’s right is tomorrow’s left. And the art moves on.
I see my art as a continuous work in progress. A final work can be a starting point for another project or it could become a layer merged with other paintings or photographs resulting in a different art work.
